Info
During my internship at OSIM, I was given the opportunity to explore an unconventional question:
What if gaming products weren’t just built for performance, but for recovery, wellness, and human care?
Over 8 weeks, I immersed myself into the world of gamers their habits, frustrations, physical discomfort, and emotional highs and lows. I discovered that behind every intense gaming moment was a body under stress: sweating palms, muscle fatigue, wrist strain, mental tension, and prolonged physical discomfort. From that insight, I began designing products that cared not only for gameplay, but for the player.
Designing for the Human Behind the Screen
I shifted focus away from gaming hardware, and instead designed for the person using it.
This meant understanding: physical exhaustion, repetitive strain, sweat discomfort and recovery needs.
Research & Discovery
I began by deeply understanding gamer behaviour—how long they play, what discomfort they experience, and what physical habits form over extended hours of sitting and repetitive movement. Through research, I uncovered recurring issues like sweaty palms, wrist pain, posture fatigue, and even emotional stress during high-intensity play.

Bridging Traditional Healing with Modern Design
What made this project unique was exploring how ancient wellness practices could inspire future products. I looked into acupressure points, muscle stimulation, airflow cooling, and even moxibustion-inspired healing rituals, translating them into modern wearable concepts that feel intuitive and desirable.

Creating a Product Ecosystem
Rather than stopping at one concept, I saw an opportunity to design a complete ecosystem of wellness products for gamers, each serving a different physical or emotional need. From wrist recovery wearables to portable cooling and muscle-relief devices, every concept was designed to work together as part of a larger experience.
